The Danish Brotherhood in Vancouver is one of many in North America. Lodge 328 was established in 1931. We are presently 82 members. Everyone has a Danish background. We all emigrated to Canada for different reasons, some of us in 1947. We help the community through scholarships, funding for healthcare facilities like Dania Home, supporting sports teams, and bringing people together for our cultural events.
Our Membership
We welcome new members. We not only have a good time at our meetings, but we also enjoy the Danish traditional "Smorrebrod" with beer and schnaps.
Building Community
Getting together every month gives us a sense of belonging, sharing ideas, building friendships, and getting out of the house for a few hours to enjoy each other’s company. Beyond that, we have annual events and special activities that bring the broader community together.
Health and Wellness
Health and wellness happen in many forms. Sports help keep us all fit, and for those that are no longer “on the pitch,” we have other activities, including social events. We also reach out to the community when people are sick or unable to leave home with visits from our sick committee.
“The Danish Brotherhood provides opportunities for the new generation.”
